THE GYM
Asylum Athletics Club a 2,800 sf gym located in Ventura California. Our equipment arrangement provides for the type of programming and training our athletes initiate in throughout the week. We have a store front and a supplement convenience store along with amenities like restrooms, wifi and free parking.

Asylum has evolved significantly since the grand opening (early 2023) and continues to grow and expand its members, programs, equipment and hours of operation. Ultimately, the goal is to transfer to a larger facility here in Ventura California where more programs, equipment and opportunities can be offered not only to our members, but as well as our growing community.
THANK YOU.

Back in January I joined Asylum Athletics Club, and it’s been an incredible experience. From day one Selene has made me feel like a part of a big, supportive family. The Camaraderie among members is unparalleled. Everyone genuinely wants to see you succeed and helps you push your limits. It’s more than just a gym; it’s a community that motivates and supports each other every step of the way. It’s an amazing feeling to be part of such a welcoming and encouraging environment. - Mario Vazquez
I started coming here in January and it has been a complete game changer for me and my fitness journey. The space is great, the equipment is clean and Selene has created an amazing community, not to mention that her coaching is top notch. This place has become my second home and all the members have been so supportive and encouraging. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new gym.- Marcoz Hernandez jr
Started going to Asylum on occasion back at their old location but made the decision to commit to a monthly membership this July. I have had no regrets. Selene has good programming for the classes and I always leave feeling I got a good workout. She will scale up or down to your skill/ability level and makes everyone feel welcome. There are constantly small upgrades and improvements going into the gym and equipment. 100% recommend Asylum.- Eric Briggs
I came to Asylum from another gym with over 10 years of CrossFit and Olympic Lifting experience under my belt. Switching from another gym I thought the transition would be difficult however, it has been wonderful. The community here is small and close. Brings me back to the old days of CrossFit where the box actually cares about its members. I have traveled to 38 states and dropped into gyms across the country. I chose to make asylum my home and haven’t been happier.- Joe Nguyen
I absolutely love this gym and its owner Selene. Before I joined, I started some conversations with her but then I got sick, and had surgery, so I couldn't continue the process. A couple of months later, she emailed me to see how I was doing. She didn't ask me if I was ready to join or mention anything about the gym. She simply wanted to check on me. Even though we hadn't met in person, she wasn't interested in my money or treating me like a transaction like many other gym owners. That was the main reason I joined this gym. That simple action won me as a loyal member. This is because Selene is compassionate, sympathetic, encouraging, humble, and, can't forget to mention, strong. She really cares about the members. More than members, we are friends and family here, encouraging each other to meet our fitness goals in this incredible space.- Siliana Chacón
Asylum is for everybody. No matter your fitness level, age, body type, everyone is welcomed, encouraged, supported, and accepted. The workouts offer options for all skill levels and Coach Selene will work with you to ensure you reach your goals. First class is free, check it out!- Tara Clark
I’ve been to a handful of gyms in Ventura and no other gym can even come close to what Asylum has to offer. The owner, Selene is absolutely amazing. She cares about her members and will always go above and beyond to assist in their fitness goals. There are members of all different fitness levels and goals. I love how well all the members get along and cheer one another on. My daily workout at asylum starts my day with a smile and I’m so happy to be apart of the asylum family. I highly recommend anyone to come try it out!- Alicia Stewart
This is an old school CrossFit gym. It’s not a gym that shouts CrossFit and does something else.
I am happy to be here everyday for my workouts. Great coaches and the members are wonderful as well. This place is united as a team. This place is not segregated just like some other places. Everyone is an Athlete and we are all treated the same by the trainers. This place also have a kids program.
Come check it out cos I highly recommend Asylum Athletic Club as you gym.- Ryan Spade

THE 2023 MADHOUSE FIT RALLY
And just like that the Asylum MadHouse Fit Rally 2023 competition will be one for the books. A notable event here in Ventura, CA as athletes from all corners of California compete and spectate what will be recorded as our greatest CrossFit competition yet. While professional coach @alexjamora assembled and efficiently coordinated and directed the lively crowd and competitors from the start to the finish line, @jdollmusic simultaneously amplifies the entire event bringing the crowd up-beat vibrations of high caliber. A DJ reputable as the best “DJ of all things fitness.” Parallel to his amazing performance @redenginebrewing brews up a special all new favorite California light lager that sells out before the event can come to an end. The energy was truly there.
As the guests begin to fill the gates, popular brands like @reignbodyfuel @nutrishopoxnard occupy vendor tents giving away packaged goods and nutritional supplements throughout the competition. Hungry lines formed craving gourmet tacos, pizza and healthy alternatives brought to us all by @cali_mealpreps @cali_dough_bois @joeychingashotsauce
